Shoulder Biceps Tenodesis
I was a competitive softball athlete at John Carroll Catholic High School in Homewood, AL. Dr. Momaya has seen me a few times for my shoulder pain and diagnosed me with biceps tendinopathy. He started with a conservative approach with steroid injections which helped tremendously. Ultimately, we decided it would be best to perform a biceps tenodesis in which he released the biceps from one part of the shoulder and fixed it to another part through a small incision.
The surgery was a success. The rehab went smoothly and my pain was minimal. I am thankful that Dr. Momaya serves as our head team surgeon for John Carroll Catholic High School. He is an honest and skilled surgeon who has helped me and numerous athletes with shoulder pain. I highly recommend him to anyone who has shoulder pain!
