Rotator Cuff Tendon Repair
I had injured my shoulder the day before and knew something was torn. Dr. Momaya was visiting through the training room and examined my shoulder. He immediately recognized I had torn my subscapularis tendon, the largest tendon of the rotator cuff muscles. I had an MRI immediately and surgery shortly thereafter. Pain was minimal after surgery and I used a sling for several weeks while it healed. He made sure I got all my motion and strength back in my arm.
Dr. Momaya is a terrific surgeon to work with. In addition to taking care of me, he has attended to multiple family members and my athletes. In addition to amazing facilities and support that our athletes receive here at UAB Women’s Basketball, the medical care is second to none. It is conveniently located on campus. I am grateful for the wonderful partnership. I highly recommend Dr. Momaya to any basketball athlete who wishes to return to play at a high level.
