ACL reconstruction
As soon as I hear the pop in my knee, I knew something was wrong. I visited Dr. Momaya, in his sports medicine clinic, and he diagnosed me with an ACL tear. He explained to me the details of an ACL tear and assured me he would do everything to get me back to collegiate basketball. I appreciate that he is up to date on the most recent literature. He also recommend a lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) procedure, which would decrease the chance of a re-tear.
The procedure went smoothly. Although rehab was tough, I got through it and am now back to playing collegiate basketball. Dr. Momaya is a terrific surgeon for any basketball athlete. He is caring, passionate, and knowledgeable.
